Bushpig Backpacker Hostel - Kampala

We had a great stay at this lovely little hostel. the location is very convenient, being walking distance from big shopping malls and Acacia Mall. the single room we stayed in was small but homely, with excellent hot water in the showers. the staff were extremely kind and helpful, making us feel welcome and accommodating all our needs. the included breakfast was delicious, with fluffy pancakes that were heavenly. it was a fantastic experience with great facilities and a beautiful view from the balcony.

There was some noise coming from the bar at night, which made it a bit difficult to sleep.

The value for money at this backpackers is great, with a wide range of room options and a spacious lobby. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and secure, even providing fresh aloe for sunburns. The location is ideal, and the pizza at the restaurant is delicious.

Food for breakfast could use more variety and larger portions.

The bar/restaurant downstairs had a great atmosphere and they had various events happening regularly. the location was ideal, within walking distance to a shopping mall and other popular attractions. the staff at the travel desk were extremely helpful and provided useful information for exploring the city.

There were no fans in the rooms, which made it uncomfortably hot, especially during the night. the breakfast options were limited and not very flexible.

The staff was friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. The bar had delicious food and drinks, and the atmosphere was so comfortable. I especially loved the awesome balcony and spacious bed in my private room. The location was perfect too!

The en-suite private room I stayed in was very basic, but it was clean. The breakfast options were a bit limited, and it was disappointing that I had to pay extra for milk in my tea.

The location of the hostel couldn't be better. It's near Interpol, making it convenient for early morning appointments. the area is green and less polluted, and there are popular nightclubs within a 5 minute walk. the hostel bar has a great atmosphere and is frequented by a mix of guests and locals. It's also next to the best Italian Restaurant in the area, Meditarraneo.

It felt like family at the hostel, with the staff being friendly and welcoming. They were always ready to help and made our stay pleasant.

The hostel had very friendly and welcoming staff at the reception, making us feel right at home. the location of the hostel was fantastic, with easy access to nearby attractions and public transportation options. - the included breakfast was a great perk, with plenty of delicious options to choose from to start the day right.

The noise level at night from the surrounding bars and clubs could be quite loud, so remember to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

Great communication, early check-in, spread out dorm rooms, really good staff, reasonable food and water prices.

We stayed at a backpackers in Kampala that had great value for money. the location was perfect, with plenty of restaurants and services within walking distance. the staff at Bushpig were incredibly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed delicious food, especially their amazing pizza. It was also a very social place, perfect for meeting new people. this was our second stay at Bushpig and we highly recommend it, especially for those on a budget. Cons: There was nothing we didn't like about our stay at Bushpig. 😊.

Great value for the money, with a social atmosphere that makes it easy to connect with other travelers. The location is convenient, with Acacia Mall, bars, and restaurants nearby. The staff is friendly and accommodating - they even waited for me when I arrived very late at night.

The breakfast offerings could be improved by including more than just one cup of coffee. It would be nice to have some juice or other drinks offered as well.
